This small, all-women run company in the Hudson Valley was ready to jump to another level. This small-batch skin-care company already had a following, thanks to the strength of the product as well as their strong ethics (no animal testing, no glass bottles only, all-organic and wild harvested ingredients only). They wanted to update their website photography to match their growth as a company. To start, we focused on new website banners, which is the first impression of their brand.  The growing team needed group pictures, some creative details they could use on instagram, and a few looks for their Captain, Jana Blankenship.

We teamed up with creative director Jennifer Wagner, who helped conceptualize the shoot. Each banner would tell a "story" representing the current season. Props were scored from Jana's Gardiner, NY home, which is filled with collections of shells, driftwood, brooding stones, and other souvenirs from her summers spent in Maine.  

Captain Blankenship products have been picked up by Anthropologie, Sephora, and Free People.
